Introduced by the London, Midland and Scottish (LMS) Railway in 1934, the Black Five was designed by Sir William Stanier and entered service in July 1944. The locomotives were so popular that another 842 were built up until 1951, doing various jobs on the railway networks.

Gift for my son
My son loves this train and we plan on ordering again.
Very accurate!
The engine looks beautiful on rails and I’ve even gone so far as giving this one a name…..after the person who designed the actual things. Smile for the camera William Stannier!
